Garment ERP for Egyptian Factories — Track Every Bundle, Pay Every Operator Right

QR-based production tracking for ready-made garment factories in Cairo, Alexandria, 10th of Ramadan, Port Said and Damietta. Operators scan the bundle; output, piece-rate wages and WIP calculate themselves.

EGP 210/machine/month · or EGP 0.26/piece — whichever is lower

30-machine factory: EGP 3,140/month · No setup fee · Live in 2 weeks · Start on operators' existing Android phones

Why Egyptian Garment Factories Need Bundle-Level Data

Egypt's ready-made garment sector sells on duty-free access to the US and EU and on short lead times to Europe. Both advantages depend on hitting delivery dates — and you cannot defend a delivery date you cannot measure at the operation level.

Production is concentrated around Greater Cairo, 10th of Ramadan and the Canal industrial cities, including factories operating under the Qualifying Industrial Zones arrangement that gives duty-free entry to the United States. International buyers increasingly ask for production data they can verify, not assurances.

Yet in most factories bundle counting still runs on paper tickets and notebooks. That produces three problems every day: disputes over piece-rate pay, no visibility of where work-in-progress is stuck, and line efficiency that becomes clear only once the day is finished — when nothing can be done about it.

Three Problems Every Garment Factory Hits

Piece-rate wage disputes

The operator says 120 pieces, the register says 95. When a paper ticket goes missing there is no record to check, and reconciling it eats two to three days of admin time every month.

No idea where WIP is sitting

Finding how many pieces of a style are stuck at which operation means walking the floor and counting. By the time you have the number, the shipment date has moved closer.

Efficiency known too late

If you learn which line fell behind at the evening meeting, that day's output is already gone. Without live numbers there is no window in which to act.

How Does QR Bundle Tracking Work?

Each bundle gets a unique QR code at cutting carrying its style, lot, colour, size and component. Operators scan it at every operation, and the system calculates output, piece-rate wages and WIP from those scans instead of handwritten sheets.

  1. Cutting: bundles are created per style and size, each printed with its own QR label.
  2. Sewing line: the operator scans the bundle at the start and end of the operation — on a phone or a fixed scanner.
  3. Automatic calculation: pieces × rate becomes earnings immediately, and the operator sees their own output on their phone.
  4. Supervisor dashboard: WIP per line and per operation, live on a floor TV instead of in a notebook.
  5. Month end: the payment sheet is built from scan data, so there is nothing left to reconcile.

Features Built for Ready-Made Garment Production

QR bundle tracking

One code per bundle carrying style, lot, colour, size and component.

Automated piece-rate payroll

Pieces × rate per operation, calculated from scans. Operators see their own earnings.

Real-time WIP

How many pieces are waiting at each operation, without walking the floor.

Sewing line efficiency

Efficiency per line and per operator, measured against SMV-based targets.

Quality and DHU

Defects traced to the operation and operator where they happened.

Biometric attendance

ZKTeco devices feed attendance straight in, including overtime hours.

How Much Does Garment ERP Software Cost in Egypt?

Two plans, and you pay whichever bills lower: EGP 210 per machine per month, or EGP 0.26 per piece tracked. No setup fee, no per-user charge.

Converted at the rate on 11 October 2026 ($1 ≈ EGP 52.38)
Factory size Monthly output Per-machine Per-piece You pay
30 machines 12,000 pcs EGP 6,290 EGP 3,140 EGP 3,140
100 machines 80,000 pcs EGP 20,950 EGP 20,950 EGP 20,950
500 machines 500,000+ pcs EGP 104,760 higher EGP 104,760

800 pieces per machine per month is the break-even between the two plans. Below it the per-piece plan bills less; above it the per-machine plan caps your bill, so raising output does not raise your software cost without limit.

Hardware is optional. Start with operators' existing Android phones; add a Raspberry Pi cache server, ZKTeco attendance terminal, QR label printer or floor TVs later, bought from us or any vendor.

FAQ — Egyptian Garment Factories

Does it help with buyer audits and traceability?

Every bundle keeps a scan history by operation, operator and timestamp, so you have a bundle-level production record to export when a buyer or auditor asks. This is factory-internal production data, not raw-material traceability, so it complements your supplier documentation rather than replacing it.

Does it replace our payroll or social insurance reporting?

No. Scan ERP calculates piece-rate output and earnings and exports a monthly sheet your payroll process uses. Social insurance contributions, tax and statutory reporting stay in the system you use today. What it adds is a defensible per-operator production record to calculate against, instead of paper bundle tickets.

Will it work if the factory internet goes down?

A Raspberry Pi cache server inside the factory keeps scanning working over your LAN/WiFi when the internet line drops, then syncs when the connection returns. To be clear: this is not a fully offline-first system — the factory WiFi network does need to be up.

How long does setup take?

About 2 weeks. The first week covers entering styles, operations and rates and training line supervisors. The second week pilots one sewing line, then rolls out to the rest.

Can operators who are not used to smartphones manage it?

Scanning is a single button — point the camera at the bundle's QR code. The operator screen shows only their own work and earnings. Where factories do not allow personal phones on the floor, shared fixed scanners can be mounted at the line instead.

Does it work for subcontract and CMT work?

Yes — that is the core case. Scan ERP was built in a working CMT factory, so cut, make and trim flows, per-operation rates and subcontracted operations are the default model rather than an add-on module.
